Olith Ratego is a Kenyan Dodo singer, songwriter and instrument maker known for his deep connection to traditional Luo music. Drawing from ancestral rhythms and melodies, his performances combine storytelling, traditional instrumentation and a distinctive vocal style. Ratego has collaborated widely and performs internationally as part of the duo ODD OKODDO, where traditional sounds meet experimental approaches. Sven Kacirek is a German drummer, producer and composer whose work explores the intersection of acoustic instruments, field recordings and electronic music. For nearly two decades he has collaborated closely with musicians across East Africa, creating projects that respectfully bridge traditional music and contemporary production. Through his recordings, performances and production work, Kacirek has helped bring many East African artists to international audiences. Together, their shared history, long-standing collaborations and mutual respect create a unique artistic dialogue between tradition, experimentation and cultural exchange.
